Generating Traffic to Your Adsense Web Site

I currently own around a dozen or so AdSense sites and I can tell you that getting targeted traffic is a whole lot of work. Optimizing your website for generic search traffic is, of course, what we all want to do and what we work so hard to achieve, but getting into the search engines can take a long time. And, if you make a mistake and need to get a corrected page into the search index, well, good luck with that.

There are some other options available to help start building your traffic. I'm posting what I've used and what I know works, along with some comments about the service.

TrafficSwarm - I'm still getting to know this service, but I have seen a slight improvement of traffic in my server logs. Signup and you can add up to 10 sites with a FREE account. You earn points by visiting other member sites and the points you earn are spent by putting your website URL in the front of other TrafficSwarm members.

To easily earn points, simply set your homepage in your browser to the TrafficSwarm page and everytime you open your browser, you earn points. Also, you are presented with a list of new sites to visit and each site you visit earns from 1 to 5 additional points that you can spend. This works well for me because I like visiting other people's sites to see their work. Also, the more referrals you can bring in, the more points you can earn. This is really one of the best services I've seen to date. The guy running the site is also very helpful and occasionally sends some good email notices about increasing traffic. When you are first starting out, this service is one you should be using. Did I mention that it's FREE?

LinkReferral - I'm still studying this one. With your site description submittal, you get added to their member pages and get some traffic from there. But, what I really like about this service is that members earn credits by submitting reviews of each other sites. I've received several now from other members and I have to say that I've found the comments to be really informative. I'm still not to the point yet where I've reviewed other member's sites but overall, this is a nice service and it's FREE.
