Example of Adsense Code Pasted into a Web PageThe example below (my google_ad_client has been blanked out purposely) shows the Javascript Adsense code that I pasted into the HTML of my web page (the yellow part is the Adsense code block to be inserted). I simply locate in the HTML where I want the Ads to appear and paste the code that I copied from my Adsense account manager when I generated the code. Obviously, some pre-planning is required on my part because if I want the Ads to appear in the sidebar of a page that is only 160 pixels wide, I have to generate Adsense code that will fit into the width of the column (you have to select the right dimensions for the Ad when you generate the Adsense code in your account manager). Example HTML Code From A PageYou can view your HTML page source code by visiting your page with a browser and selecting File->View Source: Notice in the example above that the Javascript Adsense code has been pasted into the HTML of my web page where I want the ads to appear. After I upload my page, and when someone lands on my page, the code above will tell the Google Ad server to quickly scan the page for content, determine what the page is about, and then select relevent Ads (hopefully) to display. The Ads are automatically inserted when a browser loads the page. |
